Fun With The GO!

Gramma has created a GO! Monster!!! When Taylor is here, I will never get to use the GO! Cutter. She has discovered how much fun it is to use and thinks she wants one of her own. I need to get more of those shape things, aka dies. I'm going to--I want the tumbler and the apple core dies. I think these will make for awesome scrappy quilts.

This morning I put the final borders on the Kitty Quilt. I have some pink flannel that will be the back and enough kitty fabric for the binding. I love what becomes of other people's leftover fabric. Thanks for not tossing it out!

Next project will be to start sewing some half square triangles together that we have cut. I have 2 plastic shoe bins-one with oodles of half square triangle pieces and the other has the 4 1/2" and 2 1/2" squares. It doesn't take long to get lots of HSTs when you are cutting 4 per layer of fabric. Should make for a fun scrappy quilt. I need to get busy!

This is too funny! You just got your new toy and your granddaughter is taking over already. Also, let me know how that apple core quilt is to piece when you get the die. The thought just scares me.

Judy, I forgot to ask, which dies do you have for your Go! Cutter? I am slowly increasing my list. I have tumbler, funky flowers, another flower one, 2.5" strips, circles, hexagons, 5" square. I have ordered the Alex Anderson's basket die and the chisels which should be here this week. I really want them all, just have to be practicle. I find I use the die that came with the cutter the most as I use different areas andthe 2.5" strip cutter.

I'ms stopping here as I'm typing so much here that maybe I need to blog about the cutter. LOL
