Design Wall Monday

It's been a tough week here.
My dad passed last week after a battle with cancer.
My mind has been a jumbled mess and I find it hard to concentrate on much of anything.
So lots of things got worked on a little.

I thought I had finished with my On The Road Quilt.
After it was dog approved, I started to fold it up.
Then I noticed I need to add 2 hexies to one side!
I'll get to that this week.
The backing arrived and I'm anxious to quilt it.

I pulled out some panels from the bag my friend gave me.
Ran them through the washer and dryer and pieced a back for the January UFO top.

I've had this table runner basted for a while so I decided to try to quilt it.
Threads were chosen,
quilting started,
interest lost.

This happened all week!
When we thought it was over,
we woke up to 4 more inches!
Winter is not over!!

These 2 needed to cuddle so to the couch we went with our favorite quilt and a book.
There may have been a Sunday morning nap.

It is hard to concentrate during the hard times...... Holding you up in prayer......

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time, Judy. It is hard to stay focused, but be easy on yourself. Snuggling under quilts and naps are a wonderful thing.

My sympathies on the loss of your father -- it is hard -- cherish the memories and share them with others ...

I'm so sorry about your father, it's a toughie. I enjoy your photos and I'm still dumbfounded at all your handwork! Amazing! We got 14" of new snow this weekend! Ack!

My sympathies on the loss of your dad. Cancer is heartless. Dreading the day one of my parents goes. Hope you find comfort in creating, no matter how much you jump between them.

I saw your hexies, and I wanted to report that I pulled mine out yesterday after a many-years hiatus. Four more rows of flowers to go, beyond the halfway point.
That was so sweet that sum bunny sent you a sweet treat today, I hope that the sweet sum bunny gave you a smile (I know they did). Losing a parent can be so hard, and I am so sorry he went through cancer garbage. Remember the good stuff and eff the rest. Hugs and so much love to you my friend.

Sorry to hear about your dad. It is hard to lose a parent no matter what our age.
