Design Wall Monday

This quilt has been named GO! Scrappy 1. All of the pieces for the blocks have been cut with the value die that comes with the GO! Cutter.

I started playing with my block bits yesterday. I have all the 4 patch corner blocks finished and now I'm ready to sew the half square triangle blocks together. Then the real fun begins with putting the blocks together.

I need to decide what to use for sashing and simple borders. Of course it is coming out of my stash. My stash is dwindling down to nothing so it makes it a bit tough at times. That is both a curse and a blessing. Although I don't think my husband would agree with me about the stash dwindling down to nothing.

Visit Judy L's to see what was on her design wall and then visit others to see their fabulous projects. I love Design Wall Monday!

The more quilts I see like this, the more I covet a Go! Cutter.

There's no way my stash could dwindle down to nothing....it's a bit overwhelming. I love the way your scraps are coming together in this quilt.

Those are nice. I think that dwindling is an opinion. But at least now you know where you need to enhance your stash with more. Those holes that are glaring.

Judy like your scrappy blocks. You had me worried for a second regarding your stash but then explained that it's from a quilter's perspective. I have the problem of not using too much stash since I'm making mostly scrap quilts.

Also, you comment on my post made me laugh. If I had the technology, I would record the lecture but no such luck. Just what I need, another hobby. I've been playing with the web can on my laptop and that almost had me hooked. LOL

looking good, Judy!! you are REALLY making me want a Go cutter... I promised I was NOT going there, because I don't have much time to piece. But gee whiz I am wanting one!

PS: your socks you showed back several posts are really looking good!!

looks great. I love scrap quilt. I have reduced my stash to just tiny scraps too and finishing quilts is hard. I have to go buy the perfect fabric at time and it is so much fun! The GO! is something I didn't think I would like but they are getting very appealing to me! Is there alot of waste with them? Probably less than my mistakes when cutting!!!

Such a happy, scrappy looking quilt. I'll enjoy watching it grow, as you work on it.

It's just amazing how great scrap blocks look to me! So in contrast to everything matchy-matchy. Love it!
Hey, Amy is starting another one thing-one week challenge # 4. Are you in? I am - and hope to finish Music Bloom top (quilt & bind)...
2 rows for you and 2 for me....

jsut so you know-I tried to comment last night and blogger was being a 'booger'.
Your blocks are terrific-as always
I almost 'busted' my stash a while ago and did find out that it's not actually a good thing-you need to have it for good time management if nothing else. nothing worse than needing a certain color/type and having to run out and buy it (not that shopping is bad, but you know...) I lose my steam for the project. Now I'm trying to maintain a 'working stash' of fabric. I'll let you know if I ever achieve fabric balancing status.
