Quiltathon Weekend

Judy L is hosting another Quiltathon this weekend. I started yesterday but didn't get very far. I tried again today but the Olympics pulled me away. Oh, I have a tv in my sewing room but it isn't the ginormous one in front of my recliner. And this afternoon it called to me loud and clear!

These are the blocks for a BOM group. We have stars for this year's theme, one traditional pieced and one paper pieced. January and February's paper pieced blocks brought with them lots of frustration. I am used to working with Carol Doak designs that are perfectly sized. These 2 blocks may have been perfectly sized when posted to the internet but between cyber space and my printer, they shrunk. I had to draw a new center for the top right block and the bottom right one, I added a black border to make it the correct size. So they are now put away and are waiting for the next month's blocks. With 24 blocks, I am thinking of making 6 more to have a very nice sized quilt when it's finished. As I look at it on the design wall, I wonder how in the world I am going to quilt this. I still have 6 months to worry/think about it.

Tomorrow I am planning on finishing the quilt that has been on the long arm for too darn long. I need to finish it so I can get to my boxy stars quilt. Which I have decided to use the scrappy binding on.

Happy Valentine's Day. I hope you get to spend it with your someone or someones special. Thank you to my Valentine for the beautiful roses. This is our 38th Valentine's Day together.
