Design Wall Monday

Over the weekend, I finished steps 1 and 2 for the Quiltville mystery-I wrote about that here--and went right back to work on The Ultimate Scrap Quilt Like Julie's. It is starting to become a quilt top. I am webbing the top like Bonnie shows here. I really love this technique. Careful pressing make the rows play together so nice.

I was so lucky to spend most of the weekend in the sewing room. I became engrossed in my audio books and didn't want to leave. I've never read the Elm Creek Quilt books and picked up a couple from the library...my favorite source for audio books. I'm hooked and now have all of them on hold. I will be spending lots of time in the sewing room.

On my list for the week is the finish this top, finish a fun, fun birthday gift and work on the last of the Christmas gifts. Join me in touring Blogland by visiting Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday and Quiltville for Mystery Monday Link Up-Part 2.

Julie's quilt is wonderful and yours is well on its way! I've never done audio books mostly because I sew in the family room while hubby is 30 feet away in the living room watching TV so it would be hard to concentrate. Glad you're enjoying your sewing room time!

You always have something interesting and informative in your post! I learn things. . .
I love the Elm Creek series too. It's interesting in that they aren't "all alike" writing-wise. She's a clever writer.
Happy Quilting!

The ultimate scrap quilt is looking awesome. Glad you made good progress on the mystery quilt as well. I am a big Elm Creek Quilts fan though some are better than others.

Live does not get any better than that...hibernating in the quilt room, listening to quilty books on tape! Enjoy!

Your quilt is looking wonderful! I've never read the Elm Creek series. I'll have to see if they are at my library. I "watch" Netflix when I'm in the sewing room. It's my version of books on tape.

I really like your Ultimate Scrap quilt, will have to read more about it. I couldn't stand it anymore and started working on Bonnie's new mystery quilt. I have step 2 done and am working one step 1. I love string quilting.....that's what got me.
