Step 3, Whoa Is Me

Orca Bay Step 3 (see side bar link) was released Friday. Friday I was in the hospital waiting room (knitting) while Dr. Greene gave Ernie a brand new right knee. Thank you Dr. Greene. I pray my man doesn't have to walk in pain ever again like he has for the last several years.

Sooooo my Step 3 is going to be worked in a few minutes at a time. This morning when I should have been in the shower and getting ready to go bring Ernie home, I took a few minutes and went in and pulled my fabrics. The other day while sorting through yet another scrap bag, I found several pieces of black and red that I will use. If she calls for much more black, I may have to go shopping. Time to enhance the black stash again.

I hope I can be caught up by the next clue. If not.........

**Monday morning note~~I was able to cut my black strips and 3 pair of triangles before he work up from a nice long nap. I'm well on my way. LOL

I pray Ernie comes through his surgery and recovery quickly and as pain free as possible. I know there will be therapy as well, and that is the hard part, from what I hear.

I love your black fabrics, and actually black printed fabric is my favorite. Especially the black and white together. I have a bunch, and I'm saving it for when something 'speaks to me' to use it for.

Have a wonderful Sunday and upcoming week.

I hope Ernie does well in his recovery. I have heard really good things from people who have had this done. They became pain free, once they recovered from the surgery. Love your fabrics, and hope you get some bits of sewing in between looking after Ernie.

I have a cousin who just had her knee done and said it was the best thing she ever did. Wishing a fast recovery for your Sweetheart.

Hoping you get some "you" time in with caring for Ernie. Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.

way to make your sewing time even when caring for Ernie. Maybe he will help with some pressing or trimming dog ears for you...

Hope you get lots of sewing moments in between doting on your sweetie!

Hope Ernie has a speedy recovery. The good thing about HSTs is that can do a few here, a few there and before you know it, you have 350 :) Your blacks look fabulous!

My hubby could use a new knee too. He has refused so far. The doctor has been on his side as hubby is only 50. I don't have lots of black either and was hoping the use of black might slow a bit. I am ready for RED!! Remember to care for yourself in the how process. Caring for others can be taxing. Wishing you both the best.

Hope the surgery went well and the recovery is fast and all is well. Sounds like you are catching up on Orca Bay. My husband is an Ernie too, and my daughter is also married to one.

I hope he recovers nicely from his surgery. You'll eventually get caught up. And think about how great that will feel. Something to look forward to.

Ernie will not know himself in 6 months and will enjoy having a painfree life...unfortunately he has to go through more pain to get that result. You cannot be any more behind than me! nice to have company in the slow lane!
