Pardon Me While I Cry

I was so excited when I started to roll the last row of the quilt.  SO VERY EXCITED!  I was going to get this quilt done tonight!

And then I saw this. My backing is too short! Damn!

Now I wonder if I have the backing on sideways.....too late to worry about that now.  In the morning, I'll take this off, dig out some more flannel and add to the backing.  This is an advantage to using the Red Snappers.  An advantage I don't want to use too often.

Now I am going to turn off the light in the quilting room and shut the door.  I think I'll put on my jammies and knit for a while.  I know for sure I have enough yarn to finish my socks.......

Oh no!!!! That's a heart-breaker!!! Some relaxing time with the needles should help things seem brighter. You'll be laughing about this in a few days ;-)

I've done exactly the same thing before -- really frustrating, but not unfixable.

Bummer! Wishing you calm and peace in the midst of the mishap. I've done it, and you probably will never do it again, because from now on you WILL double-check when you put your lining in. I'm with you... LOVE the Red Snappers! Happy quilt-finishing today!

I've been there too Judy! And I think I did the same thing you did....walk away for a bit.
Your perseverance will shine today! I'm still anxious to see it finished :)

Oh, I agree...Damn! I doubt I could get back to it that soon. I'd be waaaay too mad at it. Well, it will now be a quilt holding a special place in your heart because of the unnecessary grief it gave to you. LOL
