Design Wall Monday on Sunday

Monday morning is going to be busy so it's Sunday night Design Wall.w

My big plans from last Monday to quilt this week were put on hold.
It seems everyday something came up.
That's ok, I have plenty of other things to work on.

 Garden Party
I started joining blocks into rows.
I'm working both corners to the center.
I have the 5 long rows left to sew together.

I took a break from Garden Party to work on Jamestown Landing.
The broken dishes blocks are all made.
I swear I had all the string blocks made but no,
I was 35 blocks short.

I made them this weekend.
So close to laying out the blocks....

I love just dumping a couple handfuls of strings and using what's on the table.
2 blocks at a time, a leader, an ender.
In no time at all the blocks were finished.
I have to de-paper them tonight.

Exciting happenings from the sewing room this week.
I love major progress on projects.

and then it's out the door for a full day of errands.

Glad you took time to post while you had time. Nice to get the Bonnie quilts worked on.

Garden party is very pretty! I haven't been able to get into string blocks, maybe someday when there is a "must make" that has them.

I love the look of the string blocks. It adds interest to a plain shape.

Bonnie's quilts are the epitome of leader/ender efficiency! Just sew what you have or change course, it works either way. Hope the rest of the week goes as well as the weekend did (even if it wasn't what was planned)!

You did make a lot of progress. Sorry it wasn't where you wanted it.

Progress! And it's nice to take a break from one big project to work on another -- I find that I return to the first with new energy.
