Finish #2
I'm calling this one finished! In reality it's almost finished.......but will be done, done, done by this evening! I'm headed in to sew the binding on and then I am going to finish it by machine. Add a label and do the happy dance.
I chose this project as UFO#6 for Judy L's UFO Challenge. This is Quiltville's 2008 New Year's Eve mystery called Double Delight. From looking back in my blog, I see I made good progress during January and then who knows why but it got put away. Then looking at more photos, I see the borders were added and the top was finished in November 2009 and folded up and put on Mt. ToBeQuilted.
I used a twin sheet for the backing and of course it isn't wide enough. I made these orphan blocks from parts of several quilts including Double Delight and thought this was a good place to use up these blocks.
Thanks Judy L for the 2011 UFO Challenge and for choosing UFO #6.

OMGosh you are getting so much done!
I love that pattern--love the little 9patch blocks.
Oh YAYYYY to a second Finish
and YAYYYY to a UFO finish, at that! ;0)
Double Delight is one of my favorites so far and yours turned out absolutely lovely!
Judy! IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! You must be so pleased! Love the colors and all the patterns!
Wow, good for you! Another finish and the month is just half way over! Your quilt is lovely too.
Woohoo, happy dance for you!!!!!!! Isn't it strange, but I have a Mt ToBeQuilted here, too. LOL
Judy, it is BEAUTIFUL! Wow, and another finish! You are my hero!!! What are you going to do with the rest of teh month January...
It looks stunning! Congratulations on getting Double Delight finished up once and for all. I had it in my "to be quilted" pile forever, but just finished it up quite recently. It feels good to have it done.
Wonderful finish you have posted. That's a major accomplishment to have this one completed. I'm working to get some stuff around here completed but life keeps getting in the way.
It's fabulous...way to go! Hope you are enjoying using your quilt!
BEAUTIFUL quilt!! Quite an accomplishment to finish.
Congrats on your finish.
It is truly beaufitul.
glen: love the orphans!
I love it! Very clever use of those orphan blocks on the back, too. They're perfect! Congrats on your finish!
Beautiful quilt. And I love the idea of Mt. ToBeQuilted. I think I'm going to have to rename a pile in my sewing room now...
Good for you! Great job as well. Colors are very nice!
Congratulations!! It is gorgeous.
Very pretty, congrats on a finish.
Wow -- you must be delighted to have this done. It's gorgeous!
You must be delighted with your Double Delight! It's beautiful. I had thought about doing this one, but I was already so behind on my other Bonnie projects. Color me jealous. Wanna give it to me? No, just kidding. But it really is fabulous, and I really am envious!
Cheers,
Dionne
Great job!
Ooh! Nice one. That's one of my favorite Bonnie Hunter patterns.
Beautiful! Congratulations!
Also, I LOVE the Care Bear quilt in your header...is there a post on it?
