Design Wall Monday

It's way past time to work with these blocks. I have been a long time member of WASIQ (Washington State Internet Quilters) and in 2008 we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the group by doing a signature block exchange. Soon after a 4 patch exchange was added.

I think it's time this quilt gets put together, the blocks have aged long enough. So I spent some time in front of the wall to figure out what I might want to do. I think the above design might be setting #3.

Then I woke up in the middle of the night thinking of this design. Now that I look at it, the bottom half 4 patch blocks need to be turned to create a white trail. This is what makes the design wall and the camera such a great team! So while I work on the next UFO from Judy L's challenge, I will be working on this UFO also. I will continue to work on my Crabapples leader/ender project.

The trick is to get back to sewing. I've spent quite a bit of time in front of the TV watching Grey's Anatomy-I never watched any of it until Netflix!-and knitting.

Check out other design walls by visiting Judy L. I hope all of you in the path of the big storms are safe and warm.

If you are taking votes, I like the 4th one, in the barn raising setting. I wonder what number Judy will pull tomorrow. Have a good day. Mine will be spent at work this afternoon.

I love the barn rising setting. It is one of my favorite layouts.

I like the top one, Number 3...We did these blocks in my small group but we didn't do any four patches with them. I think the 4 Patches add to the scrappy look of this..

Do you do Design Wall Monday every week or just the Monday's you want to? When do you sign up for them, Sunday night or what? More info, please...thanks and stay warm!

I really like the one that woke you up. ;-) Does this mean you have to make more blocks? I started working on a UFO today but not the one that has been yelling from it's box. Maybe it can be the next one.

I love that they have aged enough to be used now!!! That is great!

The more UFO's finished, the better! This one will be a great finish!

I've always loved those 2 blocks together. Great fabrics used in the blocks and good that both sets can work in one quilt.
