I'm Done With Snow! And Socks

I am so done with the snow.  I want it to go away and I want spring now.

While Ernie was out playing on Snow Day 4, I worked on my February socks (and finished them last night). We lost power about 7:30 am and got it back on at 3:30 am.  I don't mind being without power for a while but about 5, I was starting to go a bit batty.
My yarn for the next pair of socks was rolled into balls last night.  :)

The battyness got to Ernie about 10.  He fired up ole red and went to work.  The man is obsessed with having a clear driveway.  The snow was very wet and very heavy!  We have a few broken branches and a couple trees that broke.

Our poor deck!  It's still standing but the outside chicken pen needs to be rebuilt.  The roof caved in.

The snow is also very beautiful.  I am done with the snow now.  I have seen enough.  I want green again and I'm so looking forward to spring.  We had very heavy rains the next day, most of the snow is gone.  Only the gianormous piles are left.  We are very lucky to live on a hill where we don't have the worries of flooding like so many others do.

Oh my, I can see why you are "done with snow"

Yikes, grab your knitting needles and start another pair of socks.

I agree with you totally. Spring can come any time now. Unfortunately, snow like that is normal in our part of the world, although this year hasn't been too bad. But, it is a good excuse to stay indoors, warm and cosy, and knit or sew to our hearts content.

We have very little snow, to speak of, and it does not bother me ONE bit!!! I hope for you, that the snow is about finished. Have a great weekend!

Your snow is really beautiful. We just haven't had enough here to even cover the ground here this winter. Last night we had sleet, and it's really cold. Love your socks!

Holy cow! You really did get a lot of snow! We only got about 6" where I am between Seattle & Tacoma but then we got plenty of ice. I was peacefully sewing, while outside my sewing room window trees started disassembling themselves with a loud CRACK because of all of the ice. Freaked my poor cat, Tigger, out totally. Also, my north-facing garage door was completely iced over and my son, neighbor and I had to bang on it with hammers to free my trapped car. That was pretty weird.

You got way more than us. I only measured 4". The ice layer on top was the killer for me to un-bury my car yesterday. I had to GET OUT! Cooped up since Tuesday night. Waiting for the CHINOOK...

Snow always looks so pretty when it is fresh and new. If only it didn't stay around so long in the cold. Great socks to help you stay warm though. Hope spring comes along sooner rather than later.

The pictures are beautiful but they make me appreciate my snowless winter.
