Focus on Finishing
I never imagined how hard it would be to for me to stick to one project. I know I can do it but gosh, I have to force myself to not pick up something else to work on. The photo shows the remaining blocks waiting to be sewn into rows for the RRCB mystery. I'm sewing it in sections and I'm on section 2 of 3. I am loving this quilt and cannot wait to use it.
So I have come up with a plan for the week. I have a white/silver board that I use for my Focus on Four lists. These are the projects I want finished this week. I've been using this method to keep myself on track for a while now. But I have never planned the week out like this.
I make my own rules and now I need to follow them. Even if it's just for this week. I am giving myself a choice of projects to work on. Maybe that will keep me on track a little better and I can reduce the height of Mt. ToBeQuilted.
We woke up this morning to a bit of snow on the ground. I haven't listened to the news at all so I have not idea how much is expected. I'm just going to go into my hidie hole and check on it later.

Your RRCB is looking great! I agree with you: just one project doesn't work for me either, so a list of several and switching between them works best for me as well.
You are only working on one project at a time? I'm limiting myself to 10 and it's sooo frustrating. Congratulations on your resolve and good luck!
I can sympathize completely with you. Not only do I have trouble sticking with one project, I have trouble not flitting around every 15 mins or so and getting distracted by other things to do. I call it Adult Onset ADD!
I like your "Focus on Four" list...I may steal your idea to keep me on track for finishing UFO's.
I have alot of projects going at the same time. All in different stages. I don't see anything wrong with that. If I get tired of quilting or sewing, I either tat or knit. I do keep a list of everything. I like your Focus on Four idea...I think I'll borrow that. I'm doing Angela's Scrappy Saturday and working on UFO's so I always have my 10 projects in mind for that but if I just focus on a specific four for the week maybe they'll get done quicker.
Your border fabric looks really good.
I'm loving this mystery quilts I keep seeing...sure wish I'd done it but I tell myself I can always do it later after I see what it is going to look like; but I never do. I loving your red and green colors.
