Stash Report 10.10.10
I love a cool number combination, so today's date is a fun one for me. Only once in my life will I get to say today is 10.10.10!
I spent most of the past week either sewing on my rug, knitting or crocheting. My sewing room is lonely since the old Singer lives in my living room still. I really need to fix her a space in the sewing room!
I figured I used 3 1/2 yards of fabric for my rug. Before I started, I weighed the bag and weighed a 2 yard piece of fabric. After some careful Judy Math (technical term for hen scratching!) and a phone call to Crystal, I figured my bag had 5 yards of fabric in it. After I finished sewing and reweighed the bag and did even more Judy Math, I have 1 1/2 yards of strips left. These will be used for trivets or mug rugs or bowls or something.
This week's report:
Used this Week: 3.5 yards
Used Year to Date: 204.5 yards
Added this Week: 0 yards
Added Year to Date: 145.75 yards
Net Used for 2010: 58.75
Go to Judy L's and see her amazing numbers and how others are doing to their stash.
Taylor was out with the camera.......isn't this a fabulous photo? Can you find 4 hens? The girls and the dogs are having a blast in the leaves.

You are 10 yards 9net used) ahead of me - great doing/ sewing! Looked at your rug pic's and it really looks nice. On my end: got Judy's quilt done with the usual 'break a needle and a thread and another thread...', but it is done. Happy 10/10/10!
Not doing to bad on your numbers, great way to figure out your yardage.
Love that stash of leaves! And, I agree that weighing is a great quick way of figuring out the yardage.Liz
I found two of the girls but two are hidden to well! Great job busting and I think you should make the Singer a place that way the others won't miss you too much.
Very clever way to figure out your fabric usage.
