I Followed My Friends...

I've been following along as JillAngela and Amy have been making their Midget Blocks.
I've loved everything they have done.
I wasn't going to make any of these blocks.
OK, Judy, Whatever.

You see,
I've had this file folder on my desk for a very long time.
So long in fact, that the URL I wrote on the folder is no longer valid.
There are 60 blocks printed in this folder.

This morning as I'm reading Angela's Tiny Tuesday post,
I decided to get that folder out.
Then I went into the sewing room and made block 1.

Now I'm hooked.
I printed out 20 more blocks,
I kitted up 5 blocks using only fabrics from my scrap bin.
Then I had a talk with myself.
I will save these for retreat next week.
I will do nothing else with these until retreat!

Makes me think of the old Mom question-
"If your friends jump off the bridge, will you follow them?"
Probably!

Now I am going to sew some more Sow-A-Long blocks together.

If something useful can be made from scraps (even the tiniest ones), then why not make it. Enjoy!

This is SO much more fun than jumping off a bridge! It isn't really a new project if you are just using scraps. I could keep going, but you get the idea. I am so EXCITED that you are joining in on all the fun! These little guys are really way too cute for words. Can't wait to see number 2!

You can never have TOO many projects! That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I look forward to seeing your progress with the midgets. (I enjoy seeing Angela's each week, too)

Oh my! How tiny! I jump, too. That is how I got sucked into the Farmer's Wife quilt... 111 6-inch blocks, with teeny tiny pieces. But THIS quilt... OVER THE TOP!

You won't do a Reader's Wrap with me, and I am NOT doing a Midget quilt with you!! There... I CAN resist temptation and not jump... occasionally.
