A better title for this post would be Decision Stall Monday. I was having a difficult time deciding what to do for the borders on this quilt. Last night I had a very serious discussion with myself and told myself to figure something out and get this quilt done. I scare myself sometimes with the serious discussion!
So this morning after Ernie left for work--way too early--I decided to do simple borders. I don't think there are enough of the 1 1/2" strips to make anything I had thought about doing. So I pulled out fabric for borders and binding. I think they will work out just fine.
Turbo agrees. Or else he was irritated because I bothered him right after he got into a good deep sleep. Sorry Turbo. The bed is all yours now. Please straighten the quilt after you get up.

Aw, Turbo is a cutie! I wish I could relax like that.
I'm chuckling right now about your comment about serious discussion with yourself.... I have those all the time. Good to know there's someone else doing that. And it looks like that serious discussion paid off! Great job!! I think Turbo agrees.
Don't get too serious there...that's no fun!!
LOL....ah, a day in the life of Turbo! Too cute.
Beautiful fabrics in your quilt; and sometimes simple borders make the most elegant finishing touches. Happy Design wall Monday
yes, I am always having the conversation with my self about overthinking everything. Your borders are great and the quilt is well loved already!
Oh, I know those serious self discussion times! Yikes! When I saw Turbo I was worried you were going to say that it took you so long to decide on borders, the cat died. Yikes again! (ok, bad humor, sorry. The devil made me say it). He really does look about as comfy as he can be. I'm sure you'll make a good decision. Anxious to see the quilt all done.
good to let the quilt talk to you, but don't get too serious. Looks good to me too.
Sometimes simple is best. Of course, all the time, finished is better than not. I think your borders will be just right. Turbo seems to think so too.
Turbo is a real cutie! And I love the simple borders on the blue quilt.
Just before I read this I was having a serious discussion with myself about getting out of this chair and getting something done. Love your quilt and I agree that sometimes simple borders are really the best.
