Last Saturday I went to the local middle school bazaar where this darling and
several of her 1st year band friends put on a concert.
It amazed me how good they have all gotten in just 3 short months.
I got a package in the mail from my friend Sue.
It was this fabulous ombre green scarf.
She was working on it at retreat and I asked if it was for me.
Little did I know!
Thank you Sue. 💗
I completed step 2 of the Quiltville mystery.
I must have a leader/ender project working all the time.
It drives me crazy not to have it.
I'm making Chunky Churndash as my leader/ender.
Another freebie from Quiltville.
I also love to listen to an audiobook while I sew.
This one is pretty good so far.
I'm a big fan of borrowing ebooks from my local library.
I have a good long wish list of ebooks I want to borrow.
Anytime a blog friend recommends a book,
I quickly open the library browser to see if I can borrow it.
I love trail camera photos.
Hubby set his up where he hunts for elk hoping to see some but no,
it only captured deer.
This picture made my inner 12 year old boy chuckle.
I'm so easily entertained.

My friend does the Quiltville mystery project each year and loves it. You have very sweet friends who knit beautifully.
Hi Judy! I do the same thing when any quilter friend suggests a title to read! I go to my library link and search it right away. Then add it to my list there to read when it's available. Sometimes by the time it becomes available I have no idea who recommended it. It's hard to tell the person thank you when that happens!! Happy Happy Thursday to you. ~smile~ Roseanne
I love e- and audio-books from the library too! Do you use goodreads? I use it to keep track of book recommendations from friends and to help me remember what I've read already. I find it really helpful. That green ombre scarf from your friend is really pretty! Such fun shades of green. It will keep you warm and toasty this winter!!
so is the story good? I sure like the cover... yes sometimes I judge a book by it's cover. The scarf is beautiful and will remind you of a friend when you use it! Love to you this holiday...
Love my library! That scarf is very pretty. Good for you for keeping your inner-kid smiling. :-)
Those 6th graders sure do learn a lot with their instruments in such a short time - it's definitely fun to see them! I loved The Alice Network, too, and also my public library for getting books. Sometimes I go to put an ebook on hold, and they tell me I've reached my limit!
I love e-books from my library. If I can't find an e-book I usually will borrow a real book and read a chapter before bed every night. Gorgeous scarf, and I love when the grands learn to play music.
I went to our Grandsons Orchestra Concert last night. I enjoy hearing the kids play. Sue took a good hint to surprise you, huh? Chunky Churn Dash is a fun one to stitch between the Mystery parts. Doing today's gives me dejavu of Midnight Flight. Not sure how fast I will finish this week. Lots of drawing lines is so boring but I can watch Hallmark Channel while I do it. Gotta find a way to get them all done. Happy Friday. I like your Thursdays.
We'll be going to a middle school band concert this week. They just continue to improve each year. I really enjoy the high school band concerts now (and not just because they are usually held in the auditorium instead of the gym, comfy seats!). My husband enjoys getting pictures off his trail cam as well.
