Instead of writing up a bunch of posts for my linking ups, I'm following Teresa's lead and writing one long post and linking to where I want them to go.
This is a rerun photo of my hexies.
I am making serious progress on this quilt and love it more each day.
I'm linking to Kathy's Slow Stitching Sunday
and I'm thinking of Kathy as she hurts from the loss of her brother.
I spent some precious sewing machine time making scrappy red blocks for my Row Quilt.
I didn't get the Dresden Block made but I will.
I'm linking this to SoScrappy's Scraphappy Saturday.
Of course I had to start a new project!
These are 4 of 7 blocks for Nabby's Dowry.
You can find all the info here at Heartspun Quilts.
I'm using 1 1/2" HSTs from my overfull little bin..
Hubby came home the other day and wondered if I had a baby boy quilt.
One of his work buddies has his first baby.
Ummm, if I had know before hand, I might have had this ready to go.
So new project number 2 was started.
I'm about halfway and hope to have it ready for gifting this week.
Not much progress on Crystal's Rivel Cardigan,
but I am a lot farther than I thought I would be.
Here is Dreambird.
I am into the next black section now.
This is a knit along with Judy L and Denise.
The Getting It Done Challenge was kind of a bust for me for August.
August Goals
- Judy L's mystery step for the month
- 5 more Pineapple Crazy blocks
- Bind Ocra Bay and TUSQLJ
- Quilt 1 UFO quilt
- Work on Reach For The Stars
- Work on Grandmother's Choice blocks
Kind of a sad, sad month!! It make September's list pretty easy since I'm going to remove a couple of projects from the list.
September Goals
- Judy L's mystery for August and September
- Bind Orca Bay
- Bind TUSQLJ
- Make Rainbow Scrap blocks for August and September
- Sew every day
I think these are achievable for me. And since September is National Sewing Month, I am again going to try to sew every day. Even if I can only sit and sew for a few minutes at a time.

You have a lot of things going, enjoy them all! I have seen so many hexi projects in blogland, guess I need to use up some scraps and start one of these too!
Despite being laid up most of the month of August, you've made great progress on your projects. Glad you are feeling better.
I think you made great progress despite the knee injury. Sometimes we just need to sit back and relax with some reading or tv time. Hope you are well on the mend.
Wow - you got a lot more done than I would have with a bum knee girlfriend!!! I love your hexies - so fun! The top one with those little black stalks really caught my eye immediately. And the blue/brown hexies will be perfect for a baby boy quilt!!! Your Dreambird is going to be gorgeous with that deep pink pop in the feathers - yum!!! Keep resting that knee and have fun in September!
I'm glad to hear your knee is doing better, Judy. You knit beautifully. Love your red blocks. Can't help but wonder what color we will be sewing in September.
I cannot believe how many different projects you can keep going on all the time and actually make progress on them all! I'd never get any of them done but I know we're going to see finishes here and there of all your projects. You go girl! No stinkin' bum knee is gonna keep you down!
Lots of wonderful projects. Even if you didn't get everything on your August list, you did make progress.
I love all your projects...see how much you're getting done staying put with your ice bag in place?!?!
Love the Nabby's Dowry blocks!
