Several weeks ago I made up a kit to work on at retreat. I've wanted to make the Pineapple Blossom Quilt from Quiltville (found under the free patterns tab) since the first day Bonnie posted it but you know how that works out sometimes. Imagine my surprise when I found out that was to be our lottery block for this retreat. We were making the 12" block with brights and whites and/or blacks and brights. Most people chose blacks, 2 of us chose whites.
I made 1 block, the other gal/my tablemate made 11. She made so many because it's such a fun block to make. She wanted to win the blacks so only put her name in for the whites 3 times. I was shocked when I won stole won them. And very happy when DeAnn won the blacks! We were sitting at the lucky table.
These are some of the 12" blocks. My lonely block is the top, middle one. I have to go back and sew the bonus triangles and trim them off. I have no problem doing that. Then I'll see how many more I need to make.
These are the 9" blocks. This is all I made at the retreat, I was busy sewing other things.
See other fabulous design walls here at Patchwork Times. I love Mondays in Blogland!

I love the pineapple blossom pattern. Yours looks like it's going to be a beauty!!
Congrats on the win!! That is going to be a pretty quilt. I have that one my list too!
Pineapple blossom is on my list too. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it and the printed out all the directions just in case it disappeared from Bonnie's blog for some reason. I still haven't started, but it is always fun to see one being made. Congratulations on winning all those great blocks.
Guess I'll be adding another to my list - it is so pretty. And its scrappy! Thanks for sharing, Judy.
This is one on my list and I haven't done it yet. What a great jump start. IT looks great with all those scrappy colors. Lucky table!!
Congrats on your win!! I love the pineapple blossom block too--it was the FIRST Bonnie pattern I made, three years ago :) The bonus triangles went into a tablerunner last year. I've been eyeing my scrap piles for another and like the bigger size block for a faster quilt top.
I made Pineapple blocks for the Block Lotto Blog last year using Bonnie's pattern. I think I messed those up like I mess up Log cabins when I try to make them, but they are still pretty. You are a lucky One! Can I come sit at your Table?
Looks great - and yep, you were sitting at the lucky table... this pattern is on my bucket list as well.
This will be a great scrap buster...very fun!
Don't you love it when (1) you win and (2) it's something you really want! The blocks look great!
What a beautiful scrappy quilt this will make. And how neat that you have such a jump on it.
