My design wall is sad. It is bare. I think it is feeling neglected. Poor design wall. This week was hard to sneak in a few minutes to work on Orca Bay but I made a little progress on step 3. I have all my HSTs cut and I have 150 sewn, pressed and trimmed. I'm bundling these into 25s. I have my bin of red strings and strips ready with my phone book pages and my ruler.
Most of my sewing time was spent working on Christmas gifts. I've almost got everything sewn that needs sewn. Pictures have been taken and now gifts are waiting for their wrappings.
Ernie is doing great on day 9 of the new knee. The walker has been retired and he is now using the cane. His stitches come out this week and physical therapy has begun. He thanks you for all the well wishes posted on last week's DWM.
Check out Patchwork Times for other fabulous DWM links and Quiltville for Orca Bay progress links. Mondays are such a great day in Blogland!

You're so brave to work on another Mystery. Especially while Ernie is laid up and recovering. Have a little fun along the way- It's Christmastime!
So glad Ernie is coming along so nicely. Sorry you didn't get more 'you' time, but the gifts will be so well loved. Have a great week!
I'm so glad to hear the healing is going so well-wow 9 days and PT started, just amazing. I would want to still be in bed..whining ;) and not cooking!
I think you made good progress with all that's going on at your house. Your design wall is probably enjoying the little rest.
Is that Orca Bay! I should have started it with everyone. No, I really didn't have time with Dutch being sick and all.
But I am loving it.

From previous experience reading your posts...I bet your design wall won't be sad much longer. You have done a lot considering all you've been dealing with.
Looks like you've been getting a lot done even if it's not up on a wall! Congratulations on getting the Christmas sewing done before Christmas morning!
From experience I know how fun to let go of the walker! Good for DH!
Good for Ernie getting rid of the walker, sounds like you're taking great care of him. And it appears as though there was quite a bit of progress if you have all your Christmas sewing done, congrats!!
I am still trying to figure out how much time remains and how many sewing things I can fit into that time!
