Design Wall Monday

There is nothing on my design wall other than a bunch of stray threads. This was on my wall until a couple days ago.

I am happy to report this quilt is ready for a backing and some quilting. This was a bit of a challenge for me but with the help of a photo printout, I got it put together. The binding strips are cut and waiting for attention.

I haven't had much time to sew or quilt in the past week. It seems something was always happening. With the dog having surgery, I became the nurse and the sunshine meant there was finally time to work in the garden. Sewing time was at a minimum on some days. Today is a calm day at home and I hope to finish quilting the hunting club quilt that is on the frame and get this one loaded for tomorrow so it can be sent to Judy L for someone in Joplin. Read this post to see how you can help.

Head over to Judy L's and see what others are working on.

Love your scrappy version of that quilt pattern - it's one of the many pages in the book I tagged as wanting to make "one of these days".....

Very nice quilt, Judy! Love the bright colors. I am sure it will be a bright spot in someone's life that really needs hope.

I love this quilt! I find the digital camera so helpful in the studio.

This quilt looks great! I have admired this pattern for awhile but am too nervous/scared to do it.
I love using my camera in figuring out patterns, color placement and catching mistakes.

LOVE your quilt! I bought this pattern years ago but have never made it--which I can say about dozens of patterns--LOL! Seeing yours wants me to dig it out and consider making it again.

Your quilt turned out great - and what a turn around time, wow! Congrats on a finish. Hope your dog and yard are both doing ok... and still leave you some sewing time!

I saw the thumbnail of this quilt on Judy's blog, and thought, "Wow, that looks familiar." :-) I love the fabrics you used!

Your quilt has turned out lovely. While it did cut into your sewing time, I'm sure it was nice to get out in your garden.

wow, Judy. Great quilt. Love the scrappiness. Bet you couldn't do that without a design wall. Someone in Joplin will be very lucky to receive it.

I love the interlocking squares, and the use of fabrics. I get so many good ideas from these design walls! I know what you mean about being nursemaid to pets and then the garden needs attention. We can only stretch ourselves so far, but you are doing great on the quilting.

Nice quilt for a good cause, Judy. This sure has been a cool spring, hasn't it? My garden is very slow.
