I decided this morning instead of sewing for just a few minutes, I would spend 1 uninterrupted hour working on my Golden Harvest quilt. I'm paper piecing the outer border. I'm working each step, no problems, easy peasy. I should have it finished within the hour.
This is what I'm supposed to do. Fold the paper back, place the ruler on and trim the fabric.
Unless you don't pay attention and do this...
So I get out the tape and patch the paper back together. Take off the too small strip and cut another.
All is well in the Quilting Room now. I've finished my cuppa and I'm allowing myself to finish up this section before I move onto the laundry basket. That laundry basket has waited this long, it can wait a bit longer. That's my story..............

Hmmm.....NOW you have me intrigued, wondering what it is we're NOT supposed to do :0)
OH! That was weird. Your post was blank just a minute ago until I refreshed......
Ohhhhh dear.....that's a doosey, and sadly happens far too often to me as well....
SHEESH! Doesn't this always seem to happen when you are working to finish something up? It seems the excitement of being so close to done just over-rules my head sometimes and I make silly mistakes. Can't wait to see how this looks when it is all together. I love your colors!

Woops!!! Don't you hate it when stuff like that happens. Makes me say all kinds of mean stuff to myself when I do it. As for laundry....... it's seems like it is always there, never finished, always demanding. It can definitely wait.
That is when I usually leave the room for about 10-30 minutes, take a potty brake, get lunch, whatever. And like normal the whole thing keeps rolling around in my head, trying to figure out how to fix what I just screwed up.
I haven't tried paper piecing borders, of course I am still working on my first paper pieced quilt (started in 2004), time to finish it!
Good Luck with yours!
