Giant Leap
Well maybe not a leap but I am jumping up and down inside my head. I finally got the last border sewn on and now I'm trying to figure out how to quilt this top. I need to decide whether or not I want to use up the remaining strips and make the binding from them or cut them into pieces for the piece bins. I have enough from the final border fabric to use that too. I am going to leave it lay out on the bed for a while so I can glance at it and come up with an answer for myself. Do you ever do that?
The rest of the day I am going to work on my BOMs that I am behind on. I finally got them printed off so I have no more excuses. None that I can think of right now anyhow.

So pretty...it's amazing how if you let a quilt rest for a bit how you want to finish it will come to you.
I always wait until an item is quilted before adding the leftovers to the scrap bins. That way, I can use some of those fabrics in a scrappy binding if I choose to do so.
great quilt I love red white and blue quilts.
I would save the fabrics till your ready for the binding then decide....just mho.

It turned out great, Judy. I like the idea of a scrappy binding. I always get stumped on the quilting part. Since I'm not very good I usually end up just stippling most of the time. Or a sort of meandery thing with some star shaps thrown in now & then.
