I like a beautiful morning sky.
Kids are still sick so out comes Lord of the Rings Monopoly.
Gramma has never seen these movies so I was at a huge disadvantage.
But that didn't matter.
wink wink
Teach your children how to lose gracefully.
In my not so humble opinion,
that is a very valuable life lesson.
I need to sew 60 quarter square triangles.
I took my supplies with me and cut while the kids watched a movie.
I spent lots of time basting diamonds.
I really like having things ready to take with me
and this is the perfect project.
This little goofball.
I apologized for forgetting to bring him a piece of pumpkin pie.
"I don't want a piece of pie, I want the whole pie!"
So Gramma made him his own pie to share with his family.
And following family tradition,
pumpkin pie for breakfast!
Visit Not Afraid of Color
and then visit all the others that are sharing their Thursday Likes.
Have a great week.

Hi Judy! I totally agree with pie for breakfast. That's how we celebrate birthdays with dessert first - life's short so you have to enjoy the good stuff as often as you can. Great idea to trim your HSTs while enjoying the grandkids - it's the best of both worlds colliding in one great event. ~smile~ Roseanne
I have Lord of the Rings Monopoly! I haven't played it in years. I should get it out again. We had a big game weekend though with the kids- they're a bit younger than your crowd and currently enamoured by Squarrels, a fun card game.
We have the original Monopoly and I also have not seen the movie. We use to have marathon long games of Monopoly during the Winter.
Hope your grandchildren are feeling better. I do enjoy the Lord of the Rings movies, didn't know there was a Monopoly to go along with it. Pumpkin pie for breakfast sounds perfect. Hope you are enjoying your Thursday!
YES, Pumpkin Pie for Breakfast. Love your sky. Glad they let you play Monopoly with them. Have fun with your Diamonds
That is a beautiful sky photo! Lord of the Rings Monopoly sounds like something my grownup boys would like. I may have to find us one of those. Looks everyone enjoyed the pumpkin pie!
Pumpkin pie for breakfast sounds swell! Sounds like a wonderful week for you!!! Have a great day!
I'm still laughing,,, don't want a piece, want the whole pie! So true! Me too! and monopoly... ah the memories of many a happy hour playing. I agree, learning to lose with grace, it isn't taught much and it's integral to fitting into society. No one wins all the time, or should!
Thank you for contributing to raising good humans!!
