Design Wall Monday

Or maybe I should call this a Non Design Wall Monday because the wall is blank except for the massive amounts of thread that linger there. I continue to work on my Ultimate Scrap Quilt Like Julie's whenever I have some time. I did quite well with my Saturday Challenge. All the twosies are finished and now I'm making the foursies. Pin a stack until I run out of pins and then sew and press, pin again.

Saturday night I learned that we were going to be processing venison that one of the hunting buddies got. Where, I asked. Here, I was told. Uuuugggggghhhh! I didn't want to do that but since it is the share plan, I quit my whining and got ready for the day! And boy was it a long day. Thanks to 2 of my kiddos and their families for all the help!

Haha -- you work like I do...pin until I run out of pins and then sew until I run out of pinned things! So, do you get a 'cut' (pun intended) of the venison since it's being processed at your place?! Have a great week!! :)

Great to see your scrappyness blocks sewn into Blocks, even it they aren't on a WALL. I've only had venison once, in HS my BF liked to hunt and his mom knew how to cook it!

You run out of pins too! I thought I was the only one! way to sew.
Paul has butchered a few deer here in the past and taking over the kitchen to make jerky...I go shopping. Is that what you mean by processing or are you putting up the meat somehow?
Meg and I are very concerned as he's going bear hunting again (I think this weekend) if he gets a bear he will be thrilled. I will not. I don't even want to think about that.

Processing venison sounds like it could be a really gross procedure. I can understand the uuuuggggggghhhhhh, and heartily agree with it.. I love those birds in the air blocks. What size are they? Are you doing colour matchups, or are you just using whatever you have?

Venison.... YUMM! It's the "other" red meat! DH has bagged one, and still in pursuit of at least 2 more for our year's meat supply.

Looks like a LOT of sewing has been done on the scrap 2sies and 4sies. Way to go!
