Design Wall Monday

I spent all weekend finishing the top from the class and kind of got sidetracked away from my April UFO project. That happens pretty often with me. But I'm now back to work.

I needed 4 more sashing sections, made one, thought I'd made the second until I put it up on the board. What did I do?? Why won't this fit??? I used the extra strips instead of the ones for this quilt, so that kind of stopped me right in my tracks. And the fact that someone asked if I was going to stay hid out in my room all day. Umm, that kind of was my plan~~~~

Also on my wall it a little table topper that needs finished. I used a block out of the Quilt Mavens book. Recently Deb Karasik was a guest speaker at the quilt guild. (I am regretting not being a member of the guild because I missed seeing her. Boo Me!) Anyhow, I remembered this little UFO. I got it out, printed a few border sections to make it bigger and now I'm thinking about it more. And I have a plan...........

Grab a cup of something and visit Judy L to see what everyone other walls look like today. I love Monday in Blogland.

Hi Judy From what I can see in the photo it looks to me like your sashing does fit, and I like it. You always have something interesting on your design wall; it's always fun to come over to have a look.

Very pretty quilts! I really get upset when I have to try to figure out what I was thinking when I put all the quilt pieces together. Then it doesn't fit, and then I have to start again. No wonder we need a day to "hide out" :)

I'm with LuAnn, it's always fun to come see what you have up on your Wall on Mondays. Aren't we all just Crazy to be so addicted to our Hobby and Judy L's Design Wall Mondays? I've tried to get up in the middle of the night to Link up hoping to be #1 even. I finally gave up.

Don't you just hate it when you make a mistake like that? I did the same thing yesterday--"Oh, this peice of yellow is plenty big enough to make the sashing stars". Ah, nope!! :-( Of course, I discover this after I've sewn 12 of them on to the quilt! Looks like I'll have to do some shop-hopping to find some like it *fingers crossed*

You've put so much work in to all those blocks. They are just beautiful. And I love the table topper.

Lots going on on that wall. Love the border in the works for the circle quilt. Hiding away for a day and sewing sounds like a lovely way to pass some time.

Well, I don't feel so bad about having to unsew one of my borders. I really like your table topper. If I still had my square table I would be begging for it.

Love that tabletopper pattern...it looks like one of my favorite kinds of things to sew!
