Then it ended! Ernie saw deer outside, wanted pictures, I exited the sewing room never to return until late last night when I took this photo. I made some chocolate zucchini cupcakes. While they were baking, I loaded up the dehydrator with zuke slices for chips. When that mess was cleaned up, I created another. I cleaned out a couple cupboards! After putzing around for a while, it was time to go to friend's for a BBQ.
Today is my day! So I say now, because the Mr. is home and you all know that means my plans change without notice. I'm thinking Thursday will be my day, after the bus leaves with grandson Jonah and before Ernie comes home from work!

Hope you do end up with "your day". Your blocks look great. You have a few more done since last week. Progress!
Haha! Deer usually do me in, too! :) Chocolate zucchini cupcakes sound yummy. I hope you have a great "you" day -- whichever one it is! :)
Any Day you can claim will be great! Gotta keep Ernie happy too. And that Housework and canning that that takes time away keeps you in good graces. You are making progress. I like your Stars!
Greta star blocks - and it will get sewn together soon. Happy Labor Day!
Ah yes, the best laid plans......... etc, etc. You certainly got a lot accomplished with the part of the day you had. Your sampler squares are looking really great. Chocolate zucchini muffins.....yummy!!!!! Too bad you live across the continent, rather than across the street. We could get together for coffee or tea and muffins.
Your design wall always has such great things on it. I usually get more sewing done when I don't plan it. Hope you get lots of sewing done today.
Lock yourself in...and DH out, of your sewing room!
I don't know where you get all your energy. I wish I could accomplish half of what you do each day. You're an inspiration.
I've missed everyone, but since I've gone back to work I don't have any extra time to visit everyone's blogs or to keep mine up to date. Hopefully I can get back into blog world and show some of the work, what little there is, I've been doing.
Your blocks look great! This is going to be a fantastic quilt.
sounds like even though your plans got changed it was still a productive day. Zuchinni chips sound good!
I vacillate between being OK with this kind of day (not meeting my original goals, but doing a lot of interesting things) to being very annoyed when this happens! Neato scrap quilt you have on the design wall!
Well, your day may not have gone according to plan, but it sounds like you got LOTS done in any case. Hopefully things will settle down soon so you can get your top put together. The addition of the star blocks around the outside is a nice touch. Sampler quilts are always so much fun.
