Design Wall Monday

After have little to no sewing time last week, I am taking DWM as a designated sewing day.  I am not making plans because you know what happens when I make plans.

The Pineapple Blossom needs borders.  The pieced border is sewn together, the other borders are ready.

Pineapple Crazy is screaming my name.  These 5 blocks need the final corners.  I am loving these blocks.  When I made this group, I used most of the same fabrics in each of the blocks.  Whenever I start thinking I need to change up the fabrics, add more variety to the little basket, I remember how many blocks there are and that no one will notice if 5 blocks have the same fabrics around the outside.  I am going to change up the order in which I work on the blocks.  I think next I'll make a few border blocks just for the fun of it.

I think I have enough going on today that I'll feel like I have accomplished something.  Now I'm outta here for a while.  A quick breakfast and then in to the machine......  I'll take a break along the way today to check out other great DWM posts that have linked up to Patchwork Times today.  I hope you get to do what you want to do today.

Can't WAIT to see Pineapple Blossoms near its completion (REACH? its completion) today!

And your Pineapple INSANITY blocks (that's what I'VE taken to calling that quilt!) look amazing! Your reasoning is right on target with me; in the big picture, the same fabs won't be noticed :)

Love your Pineapple themed day :)

If Bonnie is the scrappy queen, you are definitely the scrappy princess! These are both great scrap projects!

I love that we have the same projects going on. I have my Pineapple Blossoms top finished....I have 35 pineapple crazy blocks done. Oh I love them and like you decided that I won't possibly see similar fabric once the blocks are done. I am using LOTS of clipped triangles in mine!! Oh it's addicting.

So many beautiful pineapples in your sewing room today. Hope you get those blossom borders on so you can get to the others while inspiration is with you. I agree that nobody will notice similar fabrics in the grand scheme of the quilt. SO many beautiful fabrics in there!

It just looks so colorful at your house. And a whole day to sew? I should have done that, but I worked around the house instead (and sat on the deck).

Why do there have to be so many quilts that I'd like to make. Now I want to make a Pineapple Blossom, not sure I have the courage yet for Pineapple Crazy. I love all your beautiful blocks and you are tempting me.
