Here are a few of my Sow-A-Long blocks. I decided to add the sashing and cornerstones to 2 sides of each block as I went along. I think I'll set it on point so the cornerstones go in the bottom right corner. The 5 blocks on the right side of the wall are the scrappy blocks with black cornerstones. See the basket? I had to take the sashing off that one and put it on right.
I printed off Bonnie's paper piece page for the baskets and when I started putting the sashing on, my block was too small......So I added background to make it the right size. I don't like it, it's off center and I'm going to make new blocks. I had to save the pattern to my computer and then print it...just like her instructions say to.
Slow and steady goes the sewing room project. A friend asked about it today.
How's the sewing room? Is it done? All done?
Slow! And no and no!! I keep getting stalled. Knitting, sewing, outside, can't get a helper, don't want to.
It has to be complete this week. I need some serious sewing time!

Hope you find your serious sewing time this week. Everything seems to come and go in cycles. Hopefully this will be your time to sew.
I take a lot of things off and put it on right the second time.....maybe!

All of these blocks look like great progress to me. There is no race to the finish in sewing or room arranging. It comes in time!
:-}pokey
Good idea to do the sashing and cornerstones. Kind of like tinker toy building..
Hope the sewing room makes progress. I may be moving mine next month and am really dreading it!
You're smart to do the sashings and cornerstones as you go. I still don't know what I will use for sashing on my Farmer's Wife so I can't do that. I keep looking at the chart to see if I can start putting a corner together. I'm almost there, I'll have to decide on sashing soon. Waiting patiently on pictures of the New sewing space...
I started a BOM recently with lots of tiny, 1" pieces. Got two of the blocks done and realized I was WAY off on the finished size--had to take them apart and recalibrate my 1/4". Baskets are really tricky for this reason. Going to be a nice quilt, Judy!
I love your blocks. They are looking great. One of these days I'll join in too.
great blocks-I like them on point too w/ the sashing and cornerstones.
Love the blocks on point and great idea with the sashing and corner stones, I always dread that part at the end. Can't wait to see the new sewing space.
I think it's this spring weather that we're all trying to take advantage of before getting back to sewing seriously.... at least that's my story.
