Our loca library has started investing in a lot of audio books and I have really branched out in my book selections because of what they have in stock.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07763395622211185863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20706151.post-55074201471924628802011-01-15T21:04:28.156-08:002011-01-15T21:04:28.156-08:00I love audio books too. I have turned a few off and not listened because of this. I'm going to check out the Irish series to see if I can find them here locally. I like to listen while I'm knitting or driving to work. I can listen while I'm sewing only if I'm working on stuff I don't have to concentrate on.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13858230629342252482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20706151.post-81381919057690442252011-01-15T18:05:32.453-08:002011-01-15T18:05:32.453-08:00I download library books all the time. If I finish one and don't have another available, I stop and come upstairs to download one. It would be impossible for me to finish so many projects and read as many print books any other way.

Yes, the reader does make a BIG difference. I tried LibraVox online where individuals volunteer to read and record chapters. Some chapters were just too painful for me to actually listen to for very long. I've learned how to download audio books from my library.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18296050573667055406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20706151.post-72207370939048716662011-01-15T12:25:55.411-08:002011-01-15T12:25:55.411-08:00Judy, you might check with the circulation desk at...Judy, you might check with the circulation desk at your library and see if they can't obtain more of that Irish series for you. Our library (very small town) has a loan program that obtains stuff from all over the U.S. There's a good chance your library also has a downloadable audio book library, usually a separate site online, which would take an MP3 player or the likes. If so you'd be able to download books anytime day or night without even leaving your house. Glad you made the audio discovery. I think it's great too.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11665963462936398135noreply@blogger.com
